Originally a farm workers cottage the house enjoys a lovely semi rural location with access to superb riding on the nearby bridleway network.

The doors are latched and braced, again oak, and the finish to the whole of the house is extremely high quality. Solar panels have been installed on the roof (see services). At the entrance is a porch with a patterned glass door leading into the hall which has an Italian porcelain floor that continues through the downstairs living areas. Off the hall is a fully fitted bathroom with a freestanding bath, the sink has drawers beneath it and the walls are panelled up to the dado height then metro tiled. In the principle reception room there is a cast iron woodburning stove in a heavy beam surround, bi folding doors open out to the kitchen garden. On the first floor are four double bedrooms, all with ensuite facilities, the master looking over the roof of the terrace which has been turned into a garden with heather, moss and wild flowers.

The space between the house and the swimming pool has been turned into a sizable seating area all under a canopy which has lighting and a giant chiminea, it links the outside to the buildings superbly. There is then a further deck and a door to the log store.

Location Quainton takes its name from the Old English words Cwen + Tun and means ‘The Queens Farmstead or Estate’ prominent on the skyline is the 14th century church which is exceptionally rich in large late 17th and 18th century monuments. The centre point of Quainton is the picturesque village green which looks up towards the 1830 windmill. In the middle of the green is a fourteenth century preaching cross and in a picture from the late 1800’s the old whipping post is visible where miscreants were tied and flogged! Until the outbreak of Dutch Elm disease the village was embosomed by trees. Quainton now has a public house and popular cafe, motor repairs, shop, playing field and floodlit tennis courts. The surrounding market towns and villages provide a wealth of historical and interesting places to visit including Waddesdon Manor, Claydon House and Quainton Steam Railway. Extensive shopping facilities are situated at Bicester Village Retail Outlet, the refurbished Friar’s Square Centre in Aylesbury, and Milton Keynes. The A41 provides easy access into Aylesbury, Bicester and the M40 network. Rail connections are fast and convenient on the Chiltern Turbo reaching London Marylebone in under an hour from Aylesbury. Services to Euston are available from Cheddington and Leighton Buzzard. Aylesbury Parkway now provides a link to Marylebone at Fleet Marston.
