Property Description

Come to our office for free Independent mortgage advice or just email or even ‘call': Do you like the photos? Well may be you would you like to view this home personally…..The good thing about NewHome4U is, we open 7 days a week and we’re physically in the office 4U just so that you can, ‘’like no other estate agent in Mold’

Maeshafn. The sort of village where homes rarely become available, purely because once here, people don’t want to move and if that is not enough to persuade you and you want more reasons to buy here, have a glance through this.

Nestling in the heart of a picture post card village, this pretty little bungalow almost smells of Nain’s baking day even before you open the door. A broad gateway gives access to a wide drive with space to turn a car round and a neat front garden surrounded by immaculate perimeter hedges. A large conservatory sits in the centre of the front elevation and is accessed via what used to be the front door, a role now assumed by the white semi glazed UPVC door at the nearest end of the home.

Opening this door allows us into a quarry tiled entrance lobby, given additional purpose by the massive upright freezer and numerous fitted storage cupboards, one of which houses the Worcester oil fired central heating boiler.

Immediately to our left another door takes us into the kitchen. This is a good sized room with quality units but, if I am honest they are a little tired. That is not to say they are in poor condition as nothing could be further from the truth, but they are dated. Their light wood finish and predominantly brown colour scheme makes me expect a man in flared trousers, a ludicrously wide tie and a Burt Reynolds moustache to wander in at any moment. However these are merely surface details and, as altering the kitchen is frequently close to the top of any ‘to do’ list when moving into a new home, largely unimportant. What cannot be denied, is that the room offers the space and light to make whatever you want of it or, should time and finances preclude any too ambitious alteration, would offer years of service while remaining untouched.

From here we move into the lounge / dining room. This is interestingly laid out with the dining section to our right and which, although not huge is cosy and kept delightfully bright by its twin aspect windows. To our left the room opens up into Lounge mode, stretching the full width of the home and with a broad window to one side while the opposite wall sports a set of sliding patio doors overlooking the maintenance free rear garden. There is a further example of 70s chic in the way a small alcove to one side of the fireplace has a low level TV and video stand made of brick and tiled over in the same finish as the hearth itself. The actual fireplace is in the form of a large brick lined recess, housing a large gas powered living flame log burner look-alike.
Further heating is provided by concealed low level radiators running around the perimeter of the room. If this were not enough, a small electric fan heater is set into the wall adjacent to the patio doors, so there is little or no chance of feeling remotely chilly in even the darkest of winters!

The other door opens into the inner hallway where first of all we find the bathroom. This is fully tiled from floor to ceiling and features he standard suite of pedestal hand basin, lavatory and bath with an electric shower over. Being brutally honest, this would benefit from a make-over for while remaining perfectly functional, the colour and style of the fittings are perhaps a bit too much for even the most die-hard 70s enthusiast.

Moving around the hallway, we come to the small dressing room. Alternatively this would make an ideal home office, being really too small for anything other than a tiny single bedroom.

Next we find the second bedroom. Far bigger, a fact accentuated by the large fitted wardrobes and easily accommodating the double bed with its twin bedside tables, this room is kept delightfully bright by its double aspect windows which allow the light to flood in from two directions. Heat for this and the other main bedroom comes from an electric wall mounted heater, similar to that found in the lounge.

Adjacent to here is the final bedroom. Again fitted with twin aspect windows, this is big enough to cater for two sizeable chests of drawers along with the bedside tables and large double bed, this in spite of the room sacrificed to a little touch of luxury in the vanity unit with its own sink. A capacious walk-in cupboard provides all the clothes storage you could need and makes this room a welcoming haven.

Finally the hall runs towards the front of the home, to what was originally the ‘front’ door I suspect but which now enters into the large front mounted conservatory. This, with its fitted radiator running from the main central heating system is a beautiful place to be. Although facing the road, it is the sort of road the features more walkers then drivers and, nestling in the lee of the woodland opposite reminds you of the sort of Devon village that Enid Blyton wrote about.

Outside at the head of the driveway lies the detached garage. This features a remote controlled up and over door which reveals a larger than expected space with power and light and a separate workshop at eh far end.

A further door opens into a neat utility room where we find the washing machine and tumble drier while another door reveals a lavatory.

Outside at the back of the garage is the oil storage tank and a twin set of propane gas bottles powering the fire and cooker. The rest of the rear garden is terraced levels of gravel, decorated with many potted plants and evidently a favourite with the local bird population, all adding to the quiet country feel.
