“The views and proximity to Box drew us to this house 15 years ago, and we have made many changes since we moved here to make this an ideal family home. Downstairs is the master bedroom which has double doors to a courtyard outside, dressing room and bathroom with travertine floor, walk in shower and whirlpool bath and double vanity sink. The guest bedroom has an Albion roll top bath. There is a lot of storage on this floor off the dressing room to the master – a very useful space for suitcases, Christmas decorations and pictures. We added a utility room on this floor, which is very light and a useful space for laundry and for dealing with muddy dogs when we come in from country walks.”
She continues: “Upstairs we lifted the ceiling and added a skylight to the kitchen, so it is a very light space. We had new cupboards made and installed a black granite work top. There is a peninsula in the kitchen with two wine fridges underneath – very useful for entertaining! The kitchen has lovely views across the valley and leads into the conservatory, which we added on to the house and is my favourite room.
