Tidy two bed mid-terrace Freehold house built in 1982, with an off street parking bay to the front, and a private, south-facing garden of over 36 feet with direct access from the eat-in kitchen. Find it within a small, quiet and unfussy mews, just off Naylor Road in Peckham; a ten minute walk from Queen’s Road Peckham Station (Zone 2 with London Overground trains). Walk to Peckham Rye Station in 20 minutes. Chain free.
From the lobby area the stairs run up ahead. The large reception room sits off to your right and stretches nearly 16 feet by nearly 12. On through and you land in the eat-in kitchen that has pale fitted units and a window over the sink to pleasing garden views. A back door opens onto the paved area of the garden, then you’ve a generous lawn.
Upstairs there are two double bedrooms to the front and rear of the house, each is over 11 feet by nearly 9, and both have built in storage. The shower room is set between the bedrooms. The loft is accessible from the landing, for storing suitcases and the like.
London Bridge, London Victoria, Clapham Junction and Canary Wharf (via Canada Water) are all easily reached from qrp Station. You can also pick up one of many buses from Old Kent Road (walk 4 minutes) to London Bridge and beautiful Bermondsey Street, or to Elephant & Castle (for the tube) and beyond.
A hotting-up local is this. You’re a short walk from Peckham’s iconic, Stirling Prize winning Library designed by Will Alsop and Peckham Pulse, for gym and swim. There’s a weekly Farmers’ Market in Peckham Square every Sunday 9am to 1pm, and Bellenden Road, Rye Lane and Queen’s Road are all close for independent shops, plus the high street staples, supermarkets and great places to eat and drink. Peckham Plex cinema, Frank’s Bar, Peckham Levels, the Bussey Building & Copeland Park complex and Review bookstore are a handful of our favourite places to go, and the best food in Peckham (we think) is found at Ganapati, Artusi, Anderson’s, Taco Queen, Mr Bao, Miss Tapas, Sally Butcher’s Persepolis, Mamma Dough, Aside (very close to this house!) and Peckham Bazaar restaurants.
Peckham’s already on the map and there’s even more on the horizon including The Peckham Coal Line, regeneration around Peckham Rye Station and hopefully a re-opened Lido at Peckham Rye Common, as well as the two Bakerloo line stops on the old Kent Road (projected 2028/29). For more options Central Camberwell, Bermondsey, Elephant and Castle and New Cross are a short distance away.
