Stroll down Eden Road itself and check out the menu at The Castle (our favourite is the quinoa and beetroot burger – try it, it’s fab) or head in the other direction towards Orford Road, where the culinary choices are pretty much endless (Eat 17, Village Kitchen, Orford Saloon, The Queens Arms – need we go on?) Follow the sounds of the bells at St Mary’s and nip into The Ravenswood, where the neon is permanently glowing at God’s Own Junkyard and the beers are always chilled at the multiple breweries. If you need to get further afield (or it’s the dreaded Monday morning commute to work) then Walthamstow Central station is just a short walk down the hill.
