When we first wandered into this utterly beautiful home, one of the first things that caught our eye was the poster of Wuthering Heights. It reminded us that there’s a line in that amazing book that begins “Heaven did not seem to be my home…”. Yet as we explored further, we began to wonder if, conversely, this home isn’t a little bit of heaven itself. Just take a look around. You’ll see all the little details that make this house so special (and heavenly!), be it the waxed wood floors and the period fireplace, or the beautiful bi-fold doors leading out onto the brand new composite decking, or even just the fact that it’s newly decorated throughout. It’s this attention to (and eye for) detail that make this house stand out from the crowd, even before you take into account the generous size of the property, which is accentuated on the ground floor by the open plan design, and upstairs by the amazing master bedroom suite, complete with Juliet balcony and en suite shower room. We could wax lyrical about this amazing family home for ages, but that’s just eating into the time you could be seeing it for yourself. So we’ll stop talking now, and let you consider whether this is your own little bit of heaven…
What could be better on a Sunday morning than grabbing the kids and heading down to Abbotts Park for a ride on the swings? Well, probably nothing if we’re honest, but here’s a few other things that make this part of E10 the perfect place to live. On the High Road check out Pepper’s Ghost, a pub named after an illusion technique used in theatres in the 19th century. Alternatively, head to The William IV, where good food and drink are pretty much guaranteed (and where you can refuel with an amazing Sunday lunch after all that exertion in the park earlier). If you’re still up for some exercise after all that (really?), head to Hollow Ponds, where you can walk, cycle and row to your heart’s content, or just sit on a bench and watch the world go by. Of course, the weekends are usually over far too quickly, so come Monday morning it’s off to Barclay Primary (rated Outstanding by Ofsted) for the little monsters, and hopping on the train or bus for you (Leyton Midland is just up the road and Walthamstow Central a 20 minute walk away) for the dreaded commute into work (sorry). Seriously, why live anywhere else?
