The accommodation comprises on the ground floor: Vestibule, living/dining room, kitchen, utility room. There are three bedrooms (master bedroom with en-suite) and family bathroom on the first floor and a further two bedrooms (one with en-suite) and games room/teenage den/family room on the second floor. There is also an enclosed rear garden.

History of manor house

Manor house was built c1600 as, what is described as, a Monmouthshire style building by Raglan and Fox in their study of Monmouthshire houses. The staircase, original entrance, fireplace and positioning of the cupboard, combined with the T' shaped plan is what makes this a Monmouthshire style building, of which there is one other surviving example in Wales.

Although modernised there are still many original features in the house, including the exposed beams, the fireplace in the main bedroom and evidence of witches marks on the window sill in the first floor rear bedroom. Around 1640, what is now Manor Cottage was added as an extension which would have been accessed through walkways where the downstairs cupboard in the dining hall is as well as through the master bedroom to the first floor.

It is likely that the building materials and in particular the mullioned windows were salvaged from the, then derelict, Tintern Abbey site with the windows showing a variety of styles and decorations.
