Shopping


Paulton has a number of local shops providing day-to-day essentials, plus a Tesco supermarket about a mile-and-a-half away. A five minute drive to Midsomer Norton and you will find a range of local shops and a number of leading supermarkets. Just a 10 mile drive to Bath and you can enjoy city shopping in Regency grandeur, with designer fashion boutiques, leading department stores and antiques and jewellery shops. The new SouthGate centre offers more than 50 stores, while the weekly Green Park Station Market offers fresh local produce, flowers and local art, craft and second-hand stalls. A trip to Bristol offers impressive retail locations with Cabot Circus and Quakers Friars, Broadmead and not to forget the huge area at Cribbs Causeway just off the M5 junctions 16/17.

Transport


From Paulton there are two major trunk routes just outside the village that provide direct access to Bristol, Bath and Wells. Bristol is approximately 12 miles north-west on the A37, while the Spa city of Bath is about 10 miles north-east on the A39. The cathedral city of Wells is less than 12 miles south on the A39. The nearest train and coach stations are both in Bath, while air passengers can fly from Bristol International Airport, approximately 16 miles away.
