Directions

Continue almost to the other end of Kings Mill Lane where the entrance to Nettles can be on the right hand side opposite the turning into Randalls Field.

Location

Painswick is one of the Cotswold's gems. Very pretty with a wealth of historic old buildings at its center it is surrounded by dramatic countryside. Nettles is situated on the edge of Painswick in the valley below off a quiet little lane, in a mature setting. The aspect is south - south east so it attracts plenty of sun. The village which has an inclusive community, has good local amenities as well as places to eat out, notably at The Painswick, just up the hill. It is in a strategic location in the south-west of the Cotswolds, between Stroud and the Regency town of Cheltenham. The former has 4 major supermarkets and a famous Farmers Market, as well as a main line station - London Paddington from just over 90 minutes. The latter has excellent shopping, numerous Festivals (Literary, Music and Science among others) and its well known race course. Access to the M5 motorway is good and London normally under two hours by car. There are lovely walks in the vicinity of Painswick, which also has a challenging 18 hole golf course.
