The main shopping centre for the region is Cheltenham, while Bath, Bristol, Swindon, Oxford and Gloucester are also within daily commuting distance. There are excellent communications, being about a mile from the A417, providing access to Junction 15 of the M4 at Swindon and Junction 11A of the M5 at Gloucester. Kemble and Swindon Stations have direct rail services to London Paddington, the latter scheduled to take from 55 minutes. There are ample local sporting opportunities including a number of golf courses, and National Hunt racing at Cheltenham. There are many lovely walks in the surrounding countryside. There are a variety of state and private schools in the area, the latter include Beaudesert Park at Minchinhampton, Pinewood, and the various schools in Cheltenham.

A wooden gate opens onto a sizeable gravelled driveway where there is parking for a number of cars. The gardens are mostly laid to lawn and wrap around the property.
