Adjacent to here and overlooking the rear of the home is the second bedroom. Slightly smaller but still a very comfortable double, thanks to further space saving fitted wardrobes. It’s another lovely peaceful place to snatch your beauty sleep.

Next door to here lies the bathroom. This is exactly what it says on the tin, having walls that are tiled from floor to ceiling and a suite comprising pedestal hand basin, lavatory and bath with electric shower over. What it does offer however is the standard of the fittings and their general condition, which is nothing short of immaculate.

There are two other doors off the hall. One into the lounge, the other to the dining room. Emerging into the lounge, we see that the other door is almost within arms reach and so seems a little superfluous, probably dating from the days before the lounge and dining room were altered to become one….But I digress. The lounge offers a cosy space, the centrepiece of which is an eye-catching and very convincing real flame effect fire which, like many of its type provides not only heat but more importantly, that rosy glow that makes us feel warmer, whatever the actual temperature. The front of the home has been opened up to adjoin directly into the large conservatory which thus becomes part of the lounge; and a very attractive part too. This large space provides somewhere to sit with the illusion, but in this current weather, none of the discomfort of being outside such is the level and efficiency of the insulation. Together these two elements produce a lounge for all seasons (literally) and somewhere to relax whatever your mood and enjoy your front garden.

Large glazed French style doors open into the dining room which, although also providing a thoroughfare through to the kitchen is of an adequate size to remain a delightful space in which to eat, easily holding a full six seat dining table.

Moving through into the kitchen reveals a splendid room. With its dark ceramic tiled floor, it is cleverly delineated into different areas for different purposes, the first of which contains storage cupboards and the sink and drainer. Beside this is a door into a conservatory, sun room, which runs alongside this part of the home, providing a sheltered sitting area and a further place to enjoy the outside but from within.

Deeper into the kitchen the room widens out, giving space for a four seat table for less formal dining because, as we all know, the best parties are always held in the kitchen….And It is spaces ‘like this’ that makes this saying so true! Tasteful and varied units provide everything the discerning chef could want, including a stunning electric range cooker, fit to awaken your dormant Nigella. At the rear of the room, another door opens into the utility room housing voids for the dishwasher and automatic washing machine. Another small room leads off here and it was the intention to put an additional lavatory in here but as is often the case with good intentions…. It remains however, a useful hideaway for outdoor clothing and much of the ‘stuff’ that never really finds a formal home.

At the rear of the home is the externally mounted oil fired condensing central heating boiler, beside a slope leading up to the garage. There is also a pathway which takes us up towards a large patio area. This is home to a very pleasant wooden summer house which has played host to many happy summer BBQs and beside it there is sufficient space and importantly privacy, to make the addition of a hot tub a very workable consideration. Now there’s a thought to tempt you….
