The whole house is extremely energy efficient.”
“There is a snug leading off the living room with a library space and it combines as a TV room, so it is a lovely space to go to and cosy up in the winter. There are also double doors in to the snug, so when we have a party, we open them out to make one huge entertaining room.”
“There are four bedrooms, two of which are en suite, and there is a family bathroom and a cloakroom. The family bathroom has a large bespoke bath and twin vanity units; it feels luxurious, like a boutique hotel. The master bedroom has bi-fold doors straight out to the garden, so at night we can hear the owls hooting. The wildlife around here is incredible and we are fortunate to see beautiful birds such as hawks, kites and buzzards.”
“Off the boot room there is a large double garage leading to a separate room for storage. Outside there is also a separate large wooden cabin, and a little wooded area where there is a shed for garden equipment. We have a firepit in the garden which we light and sit round on chillier autumn evenings. There is an acre of garden, largely laid to lawn with raised flower beds. It is very peaceful here. We feel very secure with automatic gates into the property.”
“It is such a beautiful area, with many lovely walks. We often walk the dog through the fields, down to the White Hart at Ford, which is a very friendly local pub with delicious food. Corsham, a charming market town is 5 miles away, picturesque Castle Combe is 3.8 miles away, and historic Lacock is 8 miles away. It is 7.4 miles to Chippenham railway station, with fast trains to London and M4 is easily accessible. We have been very happy living in such a flexible house in such tranquillity, yet within easy reach of everything we need. It is only because we are moving closer to family that we are reluctantly moving, and we will miss this unique house and peaceful location.”
