Ideally positioned for commuting locally for work anywhere in Deeside or, with the close proximity of the major road network, further afield this is an excellent family home which has been refurbished to a high standard. Needing minor detail finishing off, it represents a great opportunity to get onto the housing ladder in a spacious and well equipped home.
This appears from the outside to be a typical Victorian terrace, with a low wall separating it from the pavement and a tiny front ‘garden’ with stone paving and decorative planters. Although in an area steeped in parking restrictions, double yellow lines conveniently cease immediately outside the home, allowing a legal parking space a matter of feet from the front door.
A white UPVC box style bay window stands to the front of the home, and we enter via a semi glazed white UPVC front door. A long hallway runs towards the rear of the home and the staircase, while to the left a wooden door opens into the wood laminate floored dining room. Or more accurately, what used to be the dining room before it was opened up to make one huge room incorporating the front lounge. The lounge is slightly higher, thus featuring an attractive step adding interest to this split level room and featuring real wood flooring. The lounge features a large chimney breast with its exposed brick fireplace, containing a log burning stove. An attractive semi glazed wooden door gives access to the under-stair storage providing space for hoovers, coats and all the ‘stuff’ that every home accumulates.
Another similar door lets us step into the comprehensively and attractively equipped kitchen. Dark wood laminate covers the floor while fashionable black fronted units complete the modern look. The centrepiece of the room is the magnificent double width range cooker, easily sufficient for hosting the most extravagant of dinner parties, or feeding the most ravenous of families…. An integrated dish washer and fridge freezer help keep the place spick and span, while the utility room next door separates the more industrial and noisy appliances from this cathedral of culinary creativity.
A back door leads us out into the enclosed rear yard. This is laid to stone flags and provides drying and sitting space for relaxation while also housing a large locking store shed.
If we return indoors and climb the stairs, doubling back on ourselves towards the front of the home brings us to the smallest of the bedrooms. It is here that we begin to realise the advantages of homes such as this. In most of the more modern three bedroom homes the third bedroom is more an afterthought than a room of any real use other than as a nursery or dressing room. Here however, although too small for a double bed it provides space for free standing furniture and makes for a very comfortable single room; one with which any teenager would be more than happy and any child could grow into with ease.
Adjacent to here and also overlooking the front, lies the second bedroom. This is a good sized room, currently with the original wood planking floor which gives a pleasant rustic feel and having had the benefit of being recently completely re-plastered. In one corner, waiting to be boxed in is the easily accessible Gas combi central heating boiler.
Moving back along the landing, we pass a widened section offering enough space to contain a large wardrobe, going a long way towards alleviating any clothes storage problems suffered by any budding supermodels you may have in your family.
To the rear of the home is the master bedroom. This is of a similar size to the front one, proving easily capable of accommodating a large free standing wardrobe, a proper (ie not a flat pack abomination) chest of drawers and a full double bed, while still leaving enough floor space free to prevent any feelings of being hemmed in.
Alongside here lies the bathroom and this, is a revelation. We step down onto the attractive water resistant grey laminate floor where our attention is grabbed by the stunning oval shaped free standing bath with its stylish taps springing from the floor alongside adding a touch of true class. The grey theme continues with the colour of the walls and where a heated towel rail/radiator provides a visual contrast. The rest of the suite comprises a lavatory and pedestal hand basin with a storage cupboard beneath. And finally there is a large rectangular walk-in shower cubicle; fully tiled to ceiling height and containing a mains water fed shower, coming directly front the combi boiler and providing heat on demand.

All in all this is possibly the ideal home for either a first time buyer or a second buy for a growing family. It offers a great deal of space in a convenient and well maintained package. The log burning stove provides character and practicality, not to mention substantial cost savings when used as a supplement to the gas central heating. Speaking as someone who often burns old pallet wood at home, you do feel rather smug thinking that (a) you are warm and (b) it is free. Add to this the fact that the two rooms which always swallow most of the money when moving home, the kitchen and bathroom are already completed and completed beautifully; and you have a compelling argument for coming to view this one. You will not be disappointed.
