Property Description

A well-proportioned and imposing 4/5 bedroom semi detached residence enjoying a wealth of character, set within beautifully manicured and sizable gardens in the enviable location of Ford on the outskirts of Salisbury.

Built in the early 1920’s as Officers Houses for the nearby Old Sarum Airfield, this beautiful property enjoys large spacious rooms to both the ground, 1st and 2nd floors. With rendered elevations under a pitched tiled roof, the property has been under the same ownership for many years and has been a superb family home.

Downstairs, the versatile accommodation lends itself well for family life with numerous spacious receptions rooms offering the potential for a myriad of uses.

To the front of the property, the large dining room has a lovely bay window and fireplace to one wall and behind, the sitting room has another attractive fireplace and French doors opening out onto the gardens. A further space adjacent to the sitting room would make an ideal office space and leads in turn through to the breakfast room.

The breakfast room has a range of attractive fitted cupboards and display units and passes into the kitchen, a triple aspect room which looks out onto the garden with a range of well thought out kitchen units and a range of integrated appliances. In addition, there is a useful larder store.

From the Kitchen, a door and step down leads to a triple aspect sunroom, a superb place to relax and take in the joys of the garden.

Rising to the first floor, there are 3 well proportioned double bedrooms, all with fitted wardrobes and vanity sinks. Bedroom 2 has a door leading to a useful dressing room/Study/5th bedroom.

The family bathroom is spacious and comprises of a large corner bath, W/C and hand basin with built under storage.
Rising again to the 2nd floor, a door leads to a corridor which has large eaves storage cupboards on both sides. At the end, a door opens into a delightful bedroom, dual aspect and light and bright.

Outside

Set is a large plot, the gardens are a particular delight of this lovely property. To the front, a drive rises to a large double garage with a pathway leading to both the front door and to the rear garden by way of a gate. The front lawn is well kept and also has a manicured area laid to shingle.
The rear gardens are stunning; care and attention have been lavished to create a wonderful space to enjoy. There are numerous lawned areas, separated by well-established flower and shrub borders, as well as attractive hedging which leads the eye to different sections.
There is an attractive pond, and growing beds for the green fingered.
