Directions

Coming from Buxton on the A515 follow the road, take the left hand turning just before the ‘Jug and Glass Inn’ onto ‘Green Lane’ follow the track and the land is situated on your left hand side as identified by our ‘For Sale’ board.

From the centre of Middleton by Youlgreave continue along Rake Lane then at the crossroads continue onto Green Lane and after approximately 0.7miles the land is situated on your right hand side as identified by our ‘For Sale’ board.

Description

Approximately 9.71 acres of grazing land, woodland and a former silica sand pit. The quarry is of high ecological and geological interest and part is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The flowers and wildlife that have colonised the pits are of interest because they contain species that are not generally found on the intensively managed limestone plateau surrounding the site.
