Our home is in a quiet setting on the outskirts of Whitstable. We have easy access to the town for the restaurants, cafes and seaside. It is a good location for us as we can get onto the Thanet Way quickly for travelling to local towns or further afield. There are plenty of routes for walking, including Victory Wood, which is lovely to have on the doorstep.
As soon as you step into this property you are made aware of the space with a large welcoming hallway that has a lovely flow onto the rooms. Our kitchen is the hub of our home, it is open plan with a dining table and two sofas, so it has a family feel to it. All of the rooms are good sizes, we have a main living room and a study, come office, which we use as another smaller living space. Our main bedroom has a triangular feature window through the whole wall, with made-to-measure blinds that you can control on your phone. We have lovely views to the fields and the coastline in the distance. Two of the bedrooms also have en-suites.
We have spent a lot of time and careful planning decorating throughout the whole house in the last 18 months, installing a new kitchen, bathroom and adding a second double garage. The plot is generously-sized, with a driveway suitable for many cars that is accessed through security gates. The garden is a project we haven’t quite finished, but it has patio areas, a deck with a large swim spa and a built-in barbecue with granite worktops – making it ideal for hosting during the summer.
We are going to miss everything when we do come to move as we have seen this as our forever home.
