Sellers Thoughts -
"We have loved living in our house for the last nine years. When we moved in, the reception rooms had already been knocked through to create a lovely open living space and thoughtfully decorated to include lots of lovely features and stained glass. Since then, we have really grown into the house by adding a loft extension and extending the ground floor to add a utility room and a lovely light dining/family room. The work we have done downstairs has really transformed the way we live in the house. We have room for a big family table now and the bi-fold doors mean that we get the benefit of the south-facing garden even when it's too cold to be outside in it. In the summer, when the doors are open, the house and the garden feel like one big room.
We have lived in the Harringay area since 2001 and have seen it change over the years. Nowadays there are lots of great bars and restaurants of all kinds. The Turkish restaurants are fantastic (our favourite being Gokzuzu just at the end of the road) but now there are an increasing range of other restaurants – great burgers at Bun & Bar, Vietnamese at Ha Noi Pho and delicious Sri Lankan food at the new Yaalu Yalu. There are lots of options for good coffee and we enjoy brunch at the weekends at Music & Beans, Blend or Jam in a Jar.
But our favourite thing about the area is the great community, especially for young families. There are two good primary schools within 5 minutes walk (although a bit more with small children in tow!) and the fantastic Woodlands Park Nursery School nearby for little ones and community events. There are loads of things going on for families in the many local cafes, parks and libraries and people are really friendly and welcoming. We will miss it a lot! "
