Property Description

If you are looking for a 4 bedroom dormer bungalow in Mynydd Isa, offering complete flexibility and catering for all the family whatever their age or needs with 3 ground floor bedrooms and a further self contained suite upstairs, 2 sitting rooms and an open plan kitchen…we really do have a NewHome4U

Come to our office for free Independent mortgage advice open 7 days a week or just email or even ‘call': Do you like the photos? Well may be you would you like to view this home personally because, one of the best things about NewHome4U is, we open 7 days a week and we’re physically in the office 4U just so that you can view, ‘’like no other estate agent in Mold’

Vast amounts of care and thought have been invested in this attractive home, producing somewhere for an elderly relative to live out their time in the heart of the family or, to retain their vital independence for as long as possible, and to do so in absolute comfort. The designer’s intentions are made obvious by the adapted ground floor bathroom with its walk in bath. Those of a certain age will remember Dora Bryan emerging (puzzlingly fully clothed) from one of these in the small ads section of the Woman’s Own, but I digress. However it is the thoroughness with which the requirements of someone less mobile have been addressed that impress the most. For example; the way that shelves in the higher kitchen cupboards cantilever themselves lower when pulled out, so any stretching is unnecessary. It may sound a small thing; but then it would to someone who can still stretch easily….

The right hand half of a pair of established semi detached bungalows, this is approached via a broad block paved drive that also runs up past the home to the detached garage at the rear. Alongside the drive and to the front of the home is a large expanse of decorative gravel which, while currently sporting an assortment of flowering plants and shrubs in various pots, could provide additional parking space if required.

Stepping through the fully glazed aluminium front door and into the hallway, a door to our left takes us into the lounge. This is of a very comfortable size and, with its large picture window overlooking the front garden is kept pleasantly bright. The focal point to the room as ever, is the fire place. In this instance, supplementary heat is provided by a large open gas fire in a wooden surround, with the gas central heating shouldering most of the burden.

Opposite here is the first of the downstairs bedrooms. Facing the front of the home this is a spacious double room, easily accommodating bedside tables either side of the bed and a large free standing wardrobe without feeling at all overpowered.

Next door to here is the second bedroom. Facing the side of the home this could be a double room but if I am honest, it would be a bit of a squash. However as a single room, it verges on the luxurious and would allow for the swinging of numerous cats simultaneously and, they needn’t even hail from the Isle of Man. (NewHome4U would like to be known that no animals were harmed during the course of this visit)

Next, and overlooking the rear garden is the third bedroom. This is almost a mirror image of the one at the front and thus space is plentiful. A large set of fitted cupboards and wardrobes maximises the available room by negating the need for free standing furniture and the result is a very comfy room.

Adjacent to here is the downstairs bathroom. This is a purpose built space catering for the elderly, something it achieves with style. Although not a huge room, everything is of a very high quality from the tiling to the suite which offers a pedestal hand basin, lavatory and the previously mentioned walk-in bath. I confess I had always regarded these with suspicion, fearing that the doors seals would prove inadequate for the task but apparently I am wrong and they function perfectly. Which can only be a good thing….

The final door off the hallway reveals a cosy sitting area making up part of the kitchen. They say that the kitchen is the heart of the home and if that is the case, why would you want to sit anywhere else? As somewhere to mull over the highlights of the day and catch up on family gossip, this fits the bill perfectly. Separated from the kitchen as it is, only by the barrier of the work tops, conversation becomes natural and the ‘heart of the home’ becomes just that.

On the other side of the work top barrier we find a delightfully laid out kitchen. All the surfaces make up a ‘’U’ shape and with integrated washing machine, fridge and freezer in addition to the gas hob with electric ovens beneath, this is somewhere from where to feed the ravening hordes that such a family oriented home is sure to attract.

A large French door opens onto the enclosed rear garden. This is a truly lovely area, kept almost entirely maintenance free by use of ornamental gravel and having several tiers at different heights for variation it is almost zen-like in its calming atmosphere. Colour is provided by numerous pots with various flowering shrubs and should you want to get all horticultural, there is even a greenhouse. A side gate returns us to the drive and the entrance to the garage.

Moving back through the kitchen we find a staircase leading up to a small landing, off which there is a large storage cupboard while another door takes us into the upper bedroom. Entering the room, a door to the left gives access to the en-suite shower room. This is a very attractive space with wooden tongue and groove planking covering the sloping ceiling as it follows the roof line. Light comes from a large velux window and the suite comprises a pedestal hand basin, lavatory and a fully tiled shower cubicle with an electric shower.

Stepping back into the bedroom we find a quite enormous room, again with a wood lined ceiling, light coming from further velux windows affording views out across towards Moel Famau. Space in here is simply not an issue, there being room enough for not only a comfortable double bedroom but, should the need arise, a well equipped office as well.
