Property Description

Extended two bedroom bungalow that has been well-maintained but requires some modernisation. The bungalow sits in a generous plot with a large landscaped rear garden, probably one of the largest gardens on this development. The property benefits further from gas central heating and double glazing and is available with 'no onward chain'.

Accommodation

The property is approached over a long driveway leading to the double glazed front entrance porch. In turn a door opens into the hall, with doors leading off to the accommodation. To the rear of the property is the kitchen, which does require some updating but currently provides a range of wall and base units with a cupboard housing the gas fired combi boiler (approximately 3 years old). There is space and plumbing for a washing machine as well as space for a fridge and freezer. The kitchen has been extended making it open plan to a dining area offering a double aspect and a lovely view of the garden. From here a sliding door leads into a sun room with access to the outside. The lounge is situated at the front, there is a tiled fireplace with recesses to both sides and a gas coal effect fire.
The two bedrooms both provide fitted wardrobes and overhead cupboards. The bathroom is fully tiled and is fitted with a white suite including a panelled bath with a Mira electric shower over, pedestal sink and WC.

Outside

The front garden is mainly laid to lawn with mature flowers & shrub borders. The rear garden has been lovingly tended and provides an array of attractive plants, mature shrubs, hedges and trees. A patio extends from the rear of the house with stepping stones across the generous lawn. There are two sheds, the larger one providing power and light as well as a tool shed. A side pedestrian gate leads to the front driveway and garage, this is supplied with power/light a window to the rear and an up and over door.

Location

The bungalow is situated on the Thorndun Development being approximately three quarters of a mile from the town centre with its good range of shops, restaurants, Inns, schooling, health centres etc. The historic town of Glastonbury is famous for its Tor and Abbey Ruins and is some 6 miles from the Cathedral City of Wells. The thriving centre of Street is 2 miles and offers more comprehensive facilities including both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, Strode Theatre and the complex of factory shopping outlets in Clarks Village. The nearest M5 motorway interchange at Dunball, Bridgwater (Junction 23) is 14 miles, whilst Bristol, Bath, Taunton and Yeovil are all within commuting distance.

Directions

From the town centre proceed up the High Street and at the top of the hill turn left into Wells Road. Continue, passing St Dunstan's School on the left and turn left into the development. Turn immediately right into Austin Road and take the third turning on the left into Ferryman Road, and the bungalow can be found on the left hand side as the road bends around.
