His former residence is located on the hillside immediately behind the fishery, with the cribs that remain allowing you to follow in the footsteps of the once named, 'Wizard of the Wye'.

Barbel are common place in this part of the Wye, as are chub and pike, all running to specimen sizes. Other species include roach, dace, salmon, trout and grayling, perch and even the occasional carp, especially in the deep pool immediately below Kerne Bridge.

It is worth noting that the ruins of the Toll House still remain and there is vehicle access to the bank providing ample parking for 10 cars plus. Alternatively, there is parking available just yards from the top of the fishery.
