With attractive ’wood block’ tiled floor and full range of fitted units., these were obviously expensive when installed but perhaps a little dated but still perfectly serviceable.
Various scratches on the door and wall surfaces show the signs of there being a lively dog in residence and so we feel would benefit from some attention. The other end of the room is the dining area, amply large enough for a full sized suite of table and chairs with further cupboard space and an enormous chest freezer.
Next comes the lounge, again with wood laminate floor and pretty feature electric flame effect fire to supplement the gas combi powered central heating. On one side of the room is a large bay window with French doors to the centre, opening into a conservatory overlooking the enclosed terraced garden.
Opposite the stairs is the small utility room with storage, washer, drier and the wall mounted combi boiler. This was installed so recently that it is still under warranty
Next comes the bathroom, featuring solid tiled floor, attractively tiled walls with lavatory, modern vanity unit mounted sink, large corner bath and an oversized shower cubicle with mains shower fed directly from the combi. No feeble trickles from an under powered electric shower here, this one will get you properly wet, and in luxurious surroundings too!
Alongside here is the ground floor bedroom. This is a comfortable double with a large wardrobe which although not fitted, shows there is ample space for fitted ones should you want. The under stair space has been cleverly used to provide a small dressing area with fitted spotlights to prevent any smudged mascara. This room has been well thought out and takes the maximum advantage of the available space.
Up the stairs we find the two remaining bedrooms. To the front is a cosy ‘L’ shaped room which being up in the eaves proves the sort of room that screams out as a teenager’s hide-away. Its layout also provides accommodation easily suitable for shared occupancy while defusing the possibilities for border disputes.
The rear bedroom mirrors the use of tongue and groove planking for the ceilings which, accentuated by the shape of the roof gives it an almost ship’s cabin feel which is most attractive, cosy and steeped in character. There is again generous storage, sufficient to cater for all needs.
The rear garden is totally enclosed and not overlooked. It is largely given over to terracing which features a series of flat areas that can be used for various purposes but the jewel in the crown is the large wooden gazebo over the hot tub. This was purchased and installed at a cost of about £5,500 but the vendor is prepared to consider offers in the region of £2,500 to leave it behind......Summers will never be the same again.
Garden backs onto the conservation gardens and a cycle track with playing fields, and good primary schools close by.
