The Neighbourhood
Around Ealing, hundreds of lime trees line elegant, residential avenues and extensive parklands add to the feeling of space and graciousness. Yet this is also a bustling, cosmopolitan community with a theatre, cinema, comedy venues, music, a farmers street market and good shopping and leisure centres. Within London, Ealing is a destination in its own right and a perfect location for our serviced apartments.

Getting Around

Ealing has very good transport links into London. By overground train, it is only 10 minutes into London Paddington, which then connects you with the Heathrow Express service as well as trains to the west of England and Wales. Ealing Broadway also boasts access to the London Underground, where the Central Line service takes only 20 minutes to reach Marble Arch and the District Line, 30 minutes into Victoria mainline railway station.
The area is also very convenient for the M4 and Heathrow. So if you need easy access to the airport and motorway access to locations west of London, then serviced accommodation in Ealing is ideal.

Other Things to Note

Ealing has almost a village feel to it, with a Common at its heart, edged by delightful bars and restaurants. The area is probably best known for its film studios, which are the oldest in the world and are particularly associated with the classic Ealing Comedies, including Kind Hearts and Coronets, Passport to Pimlico, The Ladykillers and
The Lavender Hill Mob. The studios were taken over by the bbc in 1955, so Ealing locations have also appeared in many television programmes ranging from Doctor Who to Monty Python's Flying Circus. In recent years, the studios have once again been used for making films, including Notting Hill, The Importance of Being Earnest and a recent remake of the Ealing Studios classic, St Trinian's, and yet again some locations in Ealing can be seen in this film. Most recently, Ealing Studios have been used for the popular television series Downton Abbey.

Ealing also has a rich music history. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones famously first met Brian Jones in 1962 at the Ealing Jazz Club, opposite Ealing Broadway station. Other artists who performed at the club include Rod Stewart and Manfred Mann. The Jazz Club is still a popular music venue, now known as The Red Room nightclub.
Ealing is the host of several annual festivals, including a Beer Festival organized by the Campaign for Real Ale (camra) and a popular Jazz Festival. Both are held in Walpole Park, close to Ealing Broadway.
