Property Reference: 473858.
A bright and spacious double-bedroom very close to Lewisham station is available from the first week of December.
The flat
The flat has two bedrooms, a 3-piece bathroom and an open-plan kitchen and living room. Lots of light, a balcony, great views of the city and some stunning sunsets! There's also a little green space just outside the flat and there is access to a rooftop garden. The flat is owned by a lovely landlady who isn't a portfolio owner, so she takes good care of the flat and is always kind and responsive. There is a dishwasher so there won't be any housemate tension over dirty dishes, and you've got a coffee machine and lots of crockery you'd be welcome to use (but there is plenty of room for your stuff too!).
The room. The room has a full-height window so you get enough light. It is comfortably spacious and furnished with:
- A double bed and storage space underneath;
- A three-wing wardrobe (a simple bit highly effective one, it fits everything);
- A nightstand; and
- Some open metal shelves which you can use for your bits and bobs. There is also space for a chest of drawers, if you wish to bring/buy one. Also, we have a shoe cupboard and a shoe rack in the corridor you can sue as well.
The location
If you're new to Lewisham and more generally South East London, fear not: This is the place to be in terms of value-for-money. Great commute options with Lewisham station for trains and DLR just around the corner, and New Cross Gate for the Overground a 10-min bus ride away, e. G.:
- 13min door-to-London Bridge;
- 22min door-to-London Cannon Street;
- 24min door-to-Canary Wharf; and
- 28min door-to-London Charing Cross.
You'd be living in a newly built flat (so no more drafty sachet windows and moldy ceilings!) with all the necessary shopping and amenities within a 3-min walk, yet the area benefits from the surrounding- Parks (Hilly Fields a 10min walk; Blackheath and Greenwhich park a 20min walk away);
- Quaint neighbourhoods (Blackheath, Brockley) and hip cafes, pubs and restaurants (towards New Cross Gate)
- And all the hip stuff: A farmers' market 5min up the road, a cool street food market open late on weekends and a small Curzon cinema at Goldsmith's.
- And don't worry, with the Overground between Islington-Shoreditch-New Cross Gate running 24/7 on Friday and Saturday, you won't be running high Uber bills on nights out.
The flatmate.The flat is shared with a 29 year old professional economist from Bulgaria. They enjoy swing dancing, visiting the occasional live jazz cafe, exploring London, hiking outside of London, or just chilling over dinner and a movie.
