Farringdon Road is thought to be one of the best urban engineering accomplishments of the mid-1800s. It was one of the first multi-lane engineered roads that rerouted an early river system to solve the city’s sewage problems. The last remnants of the river system can be found in Hampstead Heath. Around this area was what was once known as “Little Italy”.
There plenty around in this bustling neighbourhood. Just downstairs on Farringdon Road is the local pub Betsey Trotwood. Next door is a Costa coffee. Down the road is The Sir John Oldcastle and The One Tun.
The nearest tube stations are Chancery Lane and Old Street Stations.
