The living room has a large, comfy corner sofa which unfolds into a spacious double bed. There is flat screen TV, so sit back and make yourself at home! Wood flooring and a vintage, luggage-like coffee table add to the room’s charm, and pot plants and modern prints make lovely finishing touches. You can work far from distractions on a modern, laptop-friendly desk, located in the second double bedroom. And if are tired of checking your e-mails and bed is just too far, soak in the suuuper comfy beanbag right behind you. You’ll find everything you need to prepare a quick meal or cook up a storm in the stylish kitchen. Have a cup of tea on the glass breakfast table and start your day in all calm. All the appliances are modern and easy to use, including a kettle and coffee machine. You’ll also find a complimentary welcome pack stuffed full of coffee, tea (of course!), and proper English scones! Our property will be professionally cleaned before your stay.
There is no better place to witness the eastward march of London than Canning Town, where a £3.7 billion regeneration scheme is building 10,000 new homes and two new town centres. There are a selection of restaurants, most of which are family run. A local favourite is Pepenero, an authentic Italian restaurant that uses fresh ingredients for their dishes. There is a selection of pasta treats and pizzas to choose from, plus an A La Carte menu that includes our favourite, Calamari Fritti (deep-fried squids). We also recommend Meydan Sofrasi, which is well known for its open kitchen, offering those dining the opportunity to see culinary delights cooked right in front of their eyes. La Barrique is a wine bar and cafe located just outside the ExCel Centre. There are freshly made sandwiches, salads and pizzas on the menu, but it’s their wine that they are known for. There is an extensive list that includes the current wine of the month. If you fancy some shopping, just two stops on the Jubilee Line, Westfield Stratford offers one of the largest shopping experiences in Europe – and it’s right on the doorstep of Canning Town residents. There are hundreds of shops, from high-street favourites to high-end fashion outlets, plus a number of restaurants to choose within. Last but not least, The Crystal London, located in Royal Victoria Dock, is a science museum run by electrical appliance company, Siemens. Other than being one of the world’s most sustainable buildings, it also offers several exhibitions showcasing global trends and how to build sustainable cities.
