This home occupies a quiet cul-de-sac location in south west Loughton in the Epping Forest District of Essex. Sitting within the M25 the area provides the perfect commuter spring-board as well as offering direct access to the wonders of Epping Forest.
Loughton, which has a good high street with chain stores and independent shops, restaurants and bars, is on the Central Line providing direct links to the City, West End and Canary Wharf. Junction 26 of the M25 and junction 7 of the M11 and links to the A12/A13 are all a mere 10-minute drive away.
The house, built in 1971, has been extended and undergone a meticulous renovation with a modern Victorian twist; the proud work of the current owners who have lived here since December 2004. The house has been refurbished to perfection with a uniform look and feel which flows well throughout the whole property – it looks fantastic and functions really well. The open plan kitchen/diner, which leads to the dining room, is a light and airy space perfect for the family to enjoy or to entertain guests.
The garden has been fully landscaped with a large slate terrace overlooking the lawned garden and oak sleeper bedding areas. It is not at all overlooked which makes it feel very private and you can see the forest – It's a very tranquil spot for relaxing in after a long day at work and at the weekend.
The area is fantastic from the point of view that there are great local amenities and you are only a short walk from the town centre and the station.
What the Owner says:
It's a peaceful, respectable and safe neighbourhood and a wonderful place to bring up children. When we first moved here the property needed a lot of attention, but we could see it had huge potential and over the years we've completely transformed it into the most perfect home. It could be moved into tomorrow without the new owners having to do a thing. The property is in the catchment area for a wealth of Ofsted rated “Good” and “Outstanding” primary and secondary schools as well as East 15 Acting School. The area also has some really excellent special interest groups and sports clubs for both adults and children, including cricket, football, horse riding and mountain biking.
The whole 15 years have been memorable as we've devoted our-selves to turning a tired looking house into an excellent modern home – it's been a hugely enjoyable challenge to get it to where it is today.
Not only will we miss the home but also the lovely neighbours and the safe neighbourhood – something which money can't buy.
