Detached 5-6 bed period stone house - once a pair of semis - could make a lovely family home or two but needs total renovation and repair. May not attract a high street mortgage. There are many hazards on site so only competent adults to view please. Bring old shoes and a torch, viewings at your own risk. Vacant, not Grade ll Listed, a very appealling wonderful project.
When first built as a pair of semis there had been two front doors and two sets of stairs. Now there is one front door and one (relocated) set of stairs. Room descriptions are brief as few features would be retained. There are many cracks in the stonework; the central heating, plumbing and wiring will all need replacing. There is no longer a staircase to Bedroom 4 which is now accessed via a hole in the wall to Bedroom 5. A torch will be useful for looking into the eaves spaces off these bedrooms.
Door to the rear garden
Marley tile type flooring so presumably contains asbestos
Small, paved with shrubs
Facing approximately West, bounded by car parks to two sides
Up and over door, open to the rear. Corrugated cement roof probably containing asbestos

This home will attract huge interest but is probably best suited to an experienced builder. Many a high street mortgage company will shy away from lending so it will probably be sold to a cash buyer. If you do need a mortgage then our clients are unlikely to accept your offer unless you are prepared to instruct the mortgage company to inspect this house as security at a very early stage .... Most providers prefer to delay any survey or valuation until very late in the conveyance which is not appropriate for this property.
