To the front of the home is a broad drive curving towards the integral garage and a grassed area bordered by the boundary wall to the front. Being newly built the front may feel a little exposed but this is nothing that planting a small hedge would not cure over time.
The ‘front’ door is something of a misnomer, situated as it is down the side of the home. Entering here we come into a very practical tile floored hallway with to our left, a downstairs cloakroom with hand basin and lavatory.
Opposite here is the kitchen where the tiling continues. Although not a particularly huge room this is very well equipped and thought out, witnessed by the number of power sockets above the work tops. This seems a small item but the last thing you need is to be smashing off new tiling because there’s nowhere to plug in your toys. There are ample fitted units, all of high quality and featuring an integral fridge and freezer, gas hob with electric oven beneath, a dishwasher and plumbing for a washing machine of your choice (and money I hasten to point out).
Last on this floor is the lounge. This again features ample power sockets, maximising your choice of positioning for all the electrical goodies and plenty of natural light by virtue of the double aspects given over by the bay window to the front of the home and the French doors to the rear. There is also a feature fireplace in grey stone with gas piping already in situ ready for your choice of appliance.
Climbing up the beautiful turned staircase we find ourselves at a ‘T’ junction with a bedroom to our right which is a very light and cheerful room, courtesy of double aspect windows to the front and side. In common with all the rooms, the electrician has been generous in provision of power and TV aerial points. There is also an enormous double fronted fitted wardrobe, negating the need for any large furniture items.
Opposite here is the family bathroom, attractively tiled and featuring a hand basin, lavatory and bath with tap mounted shower attachment. On one wall there is a vertical heated towel rail/radiator and as we all know, there is little more luxurious than a hot towel on a chilly night.
Next to here is the second bedroom, also rear facing. A slightly different shape to the first but very similar in size, this is again well catered for with power sockets and offering an identical fitted wardrobe. What sets this room aside from the others is the en-suite with its hand basin, lavatory and walk in shower running directly from the mains water supply via the gas combi boiler mounted in the garage.
To the front of the home is the third bedroom which, at the risk of sounding repetitive is of a similar size to the others, so a very good sized third bedroom because normally you get a box room, but not here and it’s similarly equipped with sockets, a TV point and the ever-present fitted wardrobe.
To the outside, there is the previously mentioned garden while to the sides and rear the home stretches quite close to the boundaries of the plot (in real terms it’s quite small). While some may see this as a disadvantage there are those, such as me, who would relish the thought of living in such a maintenance free environment. You can still sit out back and have a bbq though, although much more room out in the front garden.
** we must point out that the rear garden is very small, it’s more of A passageway – we don’t want you to be disappointed when you get there but the house price reflects this and internally it’s fantastic **
