Opening the semi glazed white PVC door allows us into the spacious inner entrance hall with its impressive wood laminate flooring. ‘Impressive ‘, is a word rarely used in conjunction with the phrase ‘wood laminate flooring’ but here it is virtually indistinguishable from solid wood and so it is justified.
Immediately on our left is a bedroom. This has a large picture window overlooking the front garden and can accept a bed and wardrobe. However, should you only have need of two beds, then this would serve as a delightful large and very comfortable study / office / crafts room.
Opposite here we find the lounge. Again sporting the sort of wood laminate that requires a hands and knees inspection to ascertain its true parentage, this room is a delight. To our right a broad archway gives access to the dining room, which is easily big enough to hold a full six seat dining table while the arch gives the feel of dining in some Mediterranean restaurant; which can never be a bad thing.
The rest of the space is given to the lounge, easily enough room to accommodate large and substantial furniture, while a big picture window gazes out over the rear garden and an ornamental fireplace provides an effective backdrop for a very convincing living flame effect electric ‘log burner’. In all honesty this is really little more than eye candy. To the right, this widens into a delightful sitting area that is perfect for those long summer evenings relaxing with a drink or three and providing ample space for family BBQs – which this area was destined for! Around the end of the home from here reveals another delight, in a secret garden laid entirely to decorative gravel and paved areas, providing a sheltered little haven of complete privacy and total sun worship….Or more quiet private drinks.
Returning to the main garden, we have a triangular lawn, surrounded by low maintenance borders which back onto a wood panelled fence, all of which was replaced about 18 months ago, providing trouble free privacy for years to come. A large wooden shed sits at the far end, offering light and power, while another door allows us into the rear of the garage. This also has power and light, currently housing the tumble drier which is properly vented to the outside air preventing any condensation issues.
