At Shaw Hill, immediately opposite the access lane, there is a bus stop which runs a service to the historic and beautiful city of Bath, or you can drive there by car in fifteen minutes or the neighbouring village of Whitley you have The Pear Tree, a pub and restaurant and a village post office. But it`s the extensive country walks that are truly worth having that make this secluded, but also connected, Lacock is very close, it is actually only an 8 min drive to the centre of Lacock, where there are lovely country walks and pubs/restaurants and a National Trust cafe.

Lacock is owned almost in its entirety by the National Trust and attracts many visitors by virtue of its unspoiled appearance and where many TV series and films have used Lacock for filming purposes.
